Happy Halloween!

Here they are all ready to wear their rain boots and trudge through the rain...no rain will stop them...to go trick or treating. Grace really wanted to be a Rainbow Butterfly. And Sophie wanted to be the Ariel, the Little Mermaid. I tried my hardest, and I'm pretty proud of myself for how the costumes turned out. But the worst critics LOVED them. Sophie wanted to wear her Ariel hair all day, but once it was on, she hated it. And Grace got to wear her costume 4 days in a row! Brady was the cutest frog ever. He even got in on the candy action too!

Brady was checking out what he got. He was so dang cute! The girls loved saying "trick or treat" and "thank you." And some houses were all decorated up. They only got scared a couple of times. It rained pretty hard for a little bit, but they just plugged along. I stayed with Brady in the car for most of the time. He snacked on sweettarts and loved it!

And here they are, all dry and happily eating some candy. We have so much candy. I think we'll have it until next halloween!

Here come the pumpkins!

Today we went on a field trip to the local pumpkin patch with Grace's preschool. My good friend watched Brady so that I could take the girls. We had a hayride, mud, pumpkin patch, mud, hot cocoa, mud and a huge pile of hay that was filled with candy! That was the best part!

Grace had the pick the smallest pumpkin she could find. She is so funny. And Sophie wouldn't take a break from her tootsie rolls to even pick out a pumpkin. She finally did though, sort of.

I really picked it for her.

Here are the girls with some of Grace's classmates.

And here they are after a very successful pumpkin carving night. The LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their pumpkins.

Hopefully you can tell who these Disney characters are...one starts with a "T" and the other with an "A"(hint hint!)

Grace thought it was so gross inside the pumpkin and would only use the spoon and then have use take the seeds off. It was hilarious. I saved some seeds and roasted them. And they were fabulous. I will for sure do that again next year!
Hope everyone is having as much fun as we are. Happy Halloween.

Misc. Happenings

Here is our cute boy all decked out in his tie for church. He is so cute! And totally LOVED the tie.

We spent an evening swimming and eating pizza with Garrett and the golf team. Brady liked to play with the phone more than swim.

Here they are! The girls have been in swimming lessons and really loved them. So they were trying some of their new skills. And floating on their hippos!

I have been busy making soap. My house smelled so good! I am actually selling it at a craft sale in November! Sassy Mei. It should be a lot of fun!

We live right across the street from the local high school's football field. So a couple of weeks ago a bright orange flyer was taped to our front door telling us that the homecoming game was that friday night and they would be having a 5 minute fireworks display. So here the kids are, inside, getting ready for the fireworks. Brady was a little scared, but the girls loved them. We actually had to grab the umbrellas and run outside because they were so high we couldn't see them from inside the house. It was fun. And the local guys kicked butt, something like 42-0. We can see the scoreboard from our front porch. It's really cool.

Fall Happenings

This fall has been really pretty uneventful as far as non-everyday things. We have been busy for sure though. Here are some fun things that we have been up to lately.

So, after 14 months, I have finally given Brady his first haircut. I was really nervous about it, that's why I let his hair get sooooo long. But this week I busted out the clipper and went to town. Grace and Sophie thought it was hilarious! And Brady was great...he only ate a little hair with his fruit snacks!

He looks so much like a little boy. I love it!

The girls love the aquarium. We have a membership, which has been awesome, especially on those rainy days when you NEED something to do. We pack it up and head to see the fish. This time Garrett actually got to go with us, which is rare. The kids love having him along.

The girls can't get enough of CandyLand. So we play almost nightly (after Brady goes to bed of course).
We celebrate my 30th, and golden birthday at the end of September. Garrett took me to see wicked a couple of weeks before and then on my actual we went out to dinner and then a couple nights after that we made a cake. The kids all helped my blow out the candles. Both girls always want the cake to be for them.

Love these kids!
We also went to Issaquah's Salmon Days. The salmon return upriver to spawn and they have a celebration. There is also a hatchery with a salmon ladder. What is that you ask? So, since the city built a dam on the river the salmon needed somewhere to get upriver. Hence they built a way, called the salmon ladder for them to get upriver. They still try to jump over the dam. See the picture below. The salmon were HUGE. I have never seen anything like it. And Grace didn't want to leave. There were so many fish. It was amazing.

It was cold at the Salmon Festival. We were all bundled up. Here is 4/5 members of the Clegg family. I am always the one taking the pictures!

We are still working on our house. And have some fun things planned. So stay tuned!

First Day of School

So...Grace officially started Preschool this week. And she loves it! I can't believe that she is going to be 5 this November! How did she get that old?

Sophie was not as excited about Grace starting school. She wanted to go too. I forget sometimes that Sophie is only 2 years old because she just does everything and wants to do everything that Grace does. So she cried and cried and cried because she couldn't go to school too.
And here is Bubby...just chillin'. He could care less that Grace is gone. He just walks around all day and gets into everything! And even he tries to do everything that the girls are doing. He's so cute and crazy!
