4th of July

Happy Independence Day!!!

We spent the day recovering from our Seattle Trip and making some yummy treats for our neighborhood BBQ.

We all gathered in the cul-de-sac around 5 for food, treats and a BIKE PARADE.  The kids decorated their bikes and rode around the block.  It was really cute!

Then since we live in a small town and there is only one place to see fireworks...we made some homemade vanilla ice cream and pulled up the chairs on our deck to catch the scene.  YUP, we can see the best fireworks around from our deck!  We even tuned the radio to cue the music set to the fireworks!

We invited some good friends over to watch the fireworks and the kids had to do sparklers and snakes outside while we were waiting...I think it was close to 10:30 before they started the fireworks.  It takes that long to get dark here!

Chloe was in bed, and surprisingly enough stayed asleep!
